Seminaries and Schools of TheologyChurch Divinity School of the PacificCDSP is the only Episcopal seminary in west of the Rocky Mountains. In addition to the seminary, they offer continuing education through the Center for Anglican Learning and Life (CALL).Vancouver School of TheologyVST provides continuing education through the Chalmers Institute. They are known for their Summer School, which offers two week courses at the Th. M. level, and for their Diploma and Certificate programs in Christian Spirituality. VST also hosts the Native Ministries Consortium Summer School.Seattle University School of Theology and MinistrySeattle University sponsors the Continuing Education Network (CEN), which hosts the Theological Colloquium and publishes a quarterly newsletter listing a wide variety of continuing education events throughout the Puget Sound area and beyond. This is a two-year spiritual formation program for those interested in discerning a call to the ministry of spiritual direction. These courses offer insights into the history and development of Christian Spirituality. Over the course of the two years, two topics per session are examined. Topics include "The Spirituality of the Psalms," "Early Christian Spirituality," "Healing and Wholeness," and more.Education for Ministry (EFM)Education for Ministry, affectionately known as EFM, is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, usually once a week, in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors.
