When I first visited St. Peter's, I went downstairs to attend the
coffee hour after the service. One of the charms of St. Peter's
is hospitality - I sure had a wonderful time with people in this
parish. It has been a little over a year since then, and now I am
a part of their family. Wanting to capture some special moments
I had with St. Peter's family, I started my little camera ministry.
I hope I can communicate with you what a great parish St. Peter's
is through this project, and some day you may be in one of these
pictures with us in near future! - Kuni Shirota

Growing up, I used to hear my mother saying "Always reserve
some space in your heart where you can appreciate the beauty of
flowers." Even ten years later after I moved to the States,
she sometimes reminds me of that in our international long distance
phone conversations.
St. Peter's always greets people with wonderful Ikebana, Japanese
flower arrangements. People from the Altar Guild take turns each
week, and make their magic work in front of the Altar table. They
use some interesting nature items, like a piece of dried tree branch
found in the woods, as a part of their arrangement. Who would have
thought that such rotten pieces of wood can be transformed and become
a part of such beautifil art decor? It's so amazing, and I sure
appreciate the beauty of flowers every Sunday here at St. Peter's.
