ministry, commission on

The Commission on Ministry provides resources and assistance to congregations and individuals in discerning how God is calling them to live out their baptismal ministry. This can include, but is not limited to, ordained ministry.

The Commission on Ministry is made up of nine members appointed by the Bishop, a representative from the Standing Committee and the Bishop. The membership is a mix of clergy (deacons/priests) and lay, male and female. Appointments are for three-year terms; members can be reappointed for a second term.
