TO: Congregations requesting 2008 grants from the Diocesan Operating Budget
Dear Friends,

This is the application information for the 2008 congregation grants. Please read it carefully noting especially the dates involved in this process.

The application (two copies) for 2008 grant is due by October 22.

Mail to: The Rev. Canon Joan Anthony, P.O. Box 12126, Seattle, WA 98102.

The members of the Commission realize that 2008 budgets will likely not be completed by that time. Projected information is all that we expect for 2008.

After the applications have been received they will be distributed to members of the Commission for Congregations to read and review. Your congregation may be one of those that the Commission members choose to visit in order to get better acquainted with your ministry. You will receive a call in order to set up the conversation, these will not be surprise visits.

Thank you for the time and energy it takes to complete this grant request application. We hope that the questions you are asked to respond to will be ones that in conversation with your Bishops Committee or Vestry may offer the opportunity to reflect on the ministries you have together, as well as provide us with the information needed to make difficult choices regarding the allocation of the resources available to us.
